Kyrie Irving To Celtics, Isaiah Thomas To Cavaliers
In the biggest blockbuster trade to happen in a while, 2016 NBA Finals hero and four-time NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving will be swapping jerseys with two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas. Also included in the deal is Jae Crowder, a premier wing defender, Ante Zizic, a rookie center, and a 2018 unprotected first-round pick from the Brooklyn Nets.
Since news of Irving wanting out of Cleveland came out last month, rumblings have come and gone, but now the move is finally a reality. Sources said that Irving wanted to be more of a focal point, and with a championship under his belt already, who could blame him for wanting to carry a team by himself to the title?
After a fan gave respect to Irving on social media, so did (now) former teammate, LeBron James:

Aside from the assets that Cleveland received, the trade also frees up some money in the form of tax savings. Their tax bill will go from $78.4 million down to $49.3 million, a substantial savings of $29.1 million.
And if this story can’t get any better, the Celtics and Cavaliers open the season against each other, in Cleveland, on October 17th.
See ya there, Uncle Drew.
