Pitch Perfect 3 Releases First Trailer

Arin Spits / July 10, 2017

We’re back pitches!

When the first movie came out in 2012, it was an instant hit which led to its sequel in 2015, Pitch Perfect 2. Now Anna Kendrick and co. are back from the last time to end the Pitch Perfect series on a high note (heh.)

In the trailer, we find that Beca (Kendrick) and the other Bellas have graduated from Barden University and each of them are trying to find their way in the post-collegiate landscape. When things aren’t going well, the group decides to take a shot on the USO tour – however, they’re not just up against other A cappella groups. There’s musical groups, with original songs, and some even have ‘real instruments.’

With some of your onscreen favorites like Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, and Hailee Stanfield returning, there are a few notable newcomers to speak of. There’s Matt Lanter (though we’re not sure what role he’ll play), John Lithgow (who will play Fat Amy’s grandfather), and Ruby Rose of Orange is the New Black fame will be headlining the rival group against the Bellas.

Elizabeth Banks remains in the picture as Gail Abernathy-McKadden-Feinberger, but director Trish Sie took over the director duties due to a scheduling conflict on Banks’ part.

If you’ve enjoyed the series so far, there’s no reason not to want to see the series finale when it arrives in theaters on December 22, 2017.
