Rami Malek Will Make Freddie Mercury Proud

Shelby Chau / September 13, 2017

The same Rami Malek who stars in the hacker series ‘Mr. Robot’ is currently in the midst of filming the biopic for Freddie Mercury titled Bohemian Rhapsody. The film will follow the Queen frontman as he progresses through the years, leading up to the legendary performance at the Live Aid concert in 1985.

Now, someone was able to sneak in some footage of Malek on stage as Mercury, and boy, has he got the moves down pat.

Only a month ago, the full cast was released for the remaining members of the band. Drummer Roger Taylor will be played by Ben Hardy, bassist John Deacon will be played by Joe Mazzello. Gwilym Lee will have the honor of playing guitarist Brian May.

The Live Aid charity concert was organised by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure and held at the iconic Wembley Stadium in 1985. The concert also saw the likes of U2, Elton John, David Bowie, Sting, The Style Council, Spandau Ballet, and Phil Collins.

Just watching the original video below gives me the chills.

It is currently scheduled to be released in December of 2018.
