“Solo” is Now In Theaters: TRAILER

Steve Porter / May 25, 2018

Solo: A Star Wars Story is in theaters on Friday, May 25, and we’re pumped to make the jump to lightspeed! Critics were thrilled at the film’s premier screening in Hollywood two weeks ago and we have no doubt that this movie is going to be a success.

The stand-alone anthology film is a prequel to A New Hope, depicting the early days of Han Solo, Lando Calrissian, and Chewbacca. By all accounts the film recaptures the grungy aesthetic and rough-and-ready energy of the original trilogy, starring scum, villains, and scoundrels that live and work under the iron fist of the Galactic Empire.

Alden Ehrenreich steps into a big pair of shoes as Han Solo and critics agree that he’s done a stellar job portraying a younger and less experienced version of the character—a worthy successor to Harrison Ford. Donald Glover puts on the cape of Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo plays Chewbacca; the film also stars Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, and Thandie Newton as new characters.

Despite some lingering fears among fans and critics after a rough production (including the arrival of new director Ron Howard), it looks like Solo will make the jump to lightspeed tonight.
