The Rock Is Finally Getting A Hollywood Star

Steve Porter / December 6, 2017

What started as a career as the most electrifying man is sports entertainment, has now blossomed into full-fledged movie star. With roles in the Fast and the Furious franchise, The Rock has gone from big name co-star to headlining movies himself.

With accolades such as world’s sexiest man and highest-paid actor alive, Dwayne Johnson is finally going to get his name etched on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He’s voiced Maui in the animated film Moana, played Mitch Buchannon in Baywatch, and when he’s not banging out hits on the big screen, he’s still making TV worthwhile on HBO’s Ballers. He has multiple projects underway and if he’s not actually superhuman, he comes pretty close.

There’s been word that The Rock would get his star by the end of 2017, but with less than a month to go, chances of that happening was looking pretty slim. But, it appears the wheels have been in motion all along and now we’ve got a firm date – December 13th. The date is also conveniently a week before his new movie, Jumanji opens in theaters.

Johnson will join former boss Vince McMahon as the only two honorees with stars that have come from a background of pro wrestling.
