Venom Movie Will Feature Carnage As A Villain

Steve Porter / July 6, 2017

Now that Sony has brought on Tom Hardy to play Venom in the title role, they need a character to serve as the movie’s main antagonist. With Marvel taking the reigns of Spider-Man: Homecoming anything more than a cameo is high unlikely. So, there’s realistically only one other character which would make a Venom movie appeal to the comic-loving fan base of the world.

That character’s name is Carnage.

For those that don’t know, Carnage is definitely a villain who lives up to his name. Once a serial killer named Cletus Kasady, his demonic nature was apparent even when he was a child. As a young boy he murdered his own grandmother by shoving her down some stairs, and then he tried to kill his mother when she was in the bath by throwing a hairdryer.

As an adult, Kasady was finally captured, tried, and convicted of 11 murders in total. During his prison sentence, he met up with Eddie Brock – the one who would eventually become Venom and one of Spider-Man’s arch-enemies. During a prison breakout involving Venom, the symbiote left behind its offspring which then merged with the mentally unstable Kasady.

With its new psychotic host, the pair now formed an even more dangerous entity. Knowing this, could we see a rated-R version movie in 2018? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
