Warner Bros. Releases HD Title Credits for ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ on Blu-ray

Steve Porter / September 4, 2018

If you’re like me, you grew up with Batman: The Animated Series. The Emmy Award-winning children’s cartoon by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski reintroduced a noir interpretation of Gotham’s Caped Crusader that captured the imaginations of countless children and adults. The moody animation and deep characterizations still hold up to this day. Soon we’ll be able to re-experience one of the greatest cartoons of all time in full 1080 HD on Blu-Ray. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is set to release ‘Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Limited Edition’ on October 30, and they’ve already dropped the remastered opening credits on YouTube.

Warner Bros. has done an admirable job of cleaning up the lines and colors while preserving the show’s aspect ratio, aesthetic, and grimy animation style. Take a look at the show’s iconic opening sequence in beautiful HD:

The Deluxe Limited Edition comes with all 109 episodes on 10 Blu-ray discs (plus a digital copy of the series), two bonus discs with remastered animated films Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, and Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero. The box set also includes collectibles like Funk minis and art cards. The series will finally be available for purchase on October 30, 2018. It’s not too late to pre-order your copy!
