The folks over at Apple have decided to break with tradition for a very noble cause! They have recently released the new variant of their flagship smartphone the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The most noticeable difference with this incarnation of the wildly popular device is that they have introduced a new color! Apple used this phone to mark the 10-year anniversary of their partnership with RED, an AIDS charity founded by U2’s Bono and Bobby Shriver, an activist.

The special edition RED model of the phone will join the already colorful lineup which includes “Jet” Black, Black, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver. When you purchase the RED iPhone 7/7 Plus Apple contributes to the RED’s Global Fund whose aim is to eliminate AIDS. You’ll be able to purchase the phone online or in store as it is now available since the 24th of March, 2017.

They currently offer the standard 128 and 256GB storage options. There has been no mention of exactly how much of each sale will contribute to RED, but a spokesperson for them said that the company (Apple) has donated more than $130 million over the last 10 years!
