Tauheed ”2 Chainz” Epps is a rapper and lover of the most expensive shit in the world. 2 Chainz has been working with GQ Magazine for the last 3 years producing an ongoing web series titled “Most Expensivest Shit” where the rapper travels the globe delighting in all things that are extravagant, decadent, outrageous, and of course, most expensivest.
Season 1 aired its first episode on the 23rd of September, 2014. There are 15 episodes in the season and each one is roughly 6 minutes in length. In this season, Mr. Chainz looks at everything from $295 wagyu beef burgers covered in truffles, gold flakes, and heirloom tomato ketchup, to a pair of Sennheiser Orpheus HE90 headphones that cost $30,000 and come with their own amplifier complete with vacuum tubes, and a literal ignition and key. Other highlights from the season include shopping for a $2 million car at Cooper Classic Cars in NYC, trying on $25,000 custom Panama hats made by Orlando Palacios, $5,000 toothbrushes made of titanium, a $250,000 MBL omnidirectional home stereo speaker system, $1,000 ice cream sundaes, $15,000 bulletproof suits, the Jewel Suite at the New York Palace Hotel that costs $25,000 a night (or $250,000 a month) and comes with its own private elevator and use of a Maybach and driver at your 24 hour beck and call. He even stops in to see David Lance, a tailor, and finds out what goes into making a suit that costs more than most people’s cars. Here’s a hint, it’s made of fabric that’s $5,500 a yard. Yeah.
Season 2 started on February 27, 2015, and 2 Chainz and his crew went big this time with nearly 30 episodes and he even brought along some of his friends to partake in “the shit that is most expensive”. Special guests include Big Sean, Jhené Aiko, Diplo and French Montana. In this season we see 2 Chainz engage with Dr. Dina, the real life Nancy Botwin from the smash hit TV show “Weeds” was based on. Dina and Chainz head to Stogz Tobacco shop to smoke the most expensive weed in the world at a cost of $800 an ounce, wrapped in the most expensive rolling papers in the universe which are made of 24k gold. After one smokes, the best thing you can do is get yourself a drink and wet your whistle. What better way to do that than to grab some $100,000 diamond infused vodka and make some martinis? Other highlights include $25,000 Jordans, $100,000 dogs, and even $100,000 BOTTLED WATER! $10,000 bongs, a $40,000 giraffe, $20,000 monkeys, sessions with a psychic that run upwards of $300 an hour, $2,000,000 diamond covered smoking slippers, a $500,000 DeLorean and a $1,000,000 car designed by Black Eyed Peas front man Will.I.Am, a $14,000 hand carved mahogany chair created by Christopher Guy, and $42,000 custom-fitted caps that get driven to the airport in a Brinks armored truck, flown first class, picked up by security guards, and then delivered to you at a Lakers game by a model in the gender of your choice… Uh-huh.
Season 3 poked its expensive little head out on May 24th, 2016, and there are currently 18 episodes available. Dr. Dina is back and she treats 2 Chainz to a good time with a bunch of herb and they look at more than $500,000 worth of glass and indulge in various THC infused products. To follow that up, 2 Chainz goes from bongs to babies and gets a glimpse at the $5000 “Rolls Royce of Strollers” with Claudia Chmielewska from Happy Mother’s Boutique. Claudia shows off $400 tracksuits for toddlers made by Gaultier, $50 baby bibs, and a $1,400 stroller with a Van Gogh floral print. He then sits down with the owner of Vintage Frames, Corey Shapiro, and tries on an assortment of designer frames and falls in love with a pair of tricked out $50,000 sunglasses. He hits up West Coast Customs and checks out Shaq’s “Gone in 60 Seconds” inspired Mustang and a custom convertable with a price tag of $250,000. It’s hard work spending money so he hits up Matt Bercovitz The CEO of Berco’s Popcorn and munches on 23-karat gold flake covered Billion Dollar Popcorn. Some other stops include playing with $165,000 kittens, sipping on $600 coffee, sampling a $30,000 meditation pod, and handling a $350,000 firearm.
2 Chainz has a reported estimated net worth of roughly $6,000,000. He’s got the money and the taste for luxurious goods and the past 3 seasons of Most Expensivest Shit have lived up to its name. We’re hoping 2 Chainz and the team over at GQ can continue with the series because It’s cool to see all the ridiculous stuff the majority of us will probably never get the opportunity to indulge in. So here’s to you sir Chainz, may your path be paved with only the expensivest of stones.
