Cookies Are For Closers! New Boss Baby Trailer!!

Steve Porter / April 5, 2017

This PG animated family comedy from the people over at Dreamworks is set for release on the 31st of March, 2017. The film was directed by Tom McGrath (Megamind, Madagascar)  and the screenplay was written by Michael McCullers (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me). The Boss Baby is based on the popular 2010 children’s book of the same name written by Marla Frazee.

The film stars the voices of some rather notable Hollywood talents such as Alec Baldwin, Eric Bell Jr., Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, Tobey Maguire, and Viviann Yee. So what’s the plot of The Boss Baby? A baby that wears a suit and carries a briefcase teams up with his older brother to put a stop to the nefarious plot of Puppy Co’s CEO.

The trailer opens with the Boss Baby himself breaking the 4th wall and addressing the audience. Right away it’s clear that this baby is all business. The trailer goes on to paint the picture of the classic story where two people, seemingly at odds, coming together because of a common goal and over the course of their adventures, learning about themselves and each other and ultimately forming a lasting bond.
This time it’s big brother and little brother. The movie looks like a good time, the animation is great, voice talent matches up well, and the story seems like it’s hitting all the required notes and doesn’t come off as if it’s going to feel forced. The soundtrack even sounds like it’s a whole bunch of fun. Baldwin even adapts one of his most famous lines from one of his past films to fit it in with The Boss Baby. “Put that cookie Down! Cookies are For Closers.”
