Demi Lovato and James Corden Sing Off in Diva Riff-Off

Shelby Chau / April 9, 2017

After James Corden praised a new radio station he discovered that played only smash hits by divas, the 24 year old singer, songwriter and actress, Demi Lovato challenged the Late Late Show host to a riff off.

Not only was it an epic riff-off but it was a Divas Then vs. Divas Now riff-off with the help of a capella group, Level, who provided some sweet harmonies and background vocals to the dueling singers.

Demi Lovato was on Team Divas Now, who started off slaying Adele’s Rolling in the Deep. Corden responded by singing Tina Turner’s River Deep and Aretha Franklin’s Respect to represent the Divas of the past.

Demi Lovato followed that up with her killer performance of Katy Perry’s Roar, and her own hit single, Heart Attack.

After battling it out with their vocal chords, the pair decided to put aside their differences and join together, singing Aretha Franklin’s I Will Survive.

Later on in the show, Demi sat down with the host, along with Homeland actor, Rupert Friend, and Sons of Anarchy actor, Charlie Hunnam where they talked about everything from martial arts, to some of the most excruciating injuries and unfortunate incidents that happened on set.
