Don’t Be A Stupid iPhone 7 User

Shelby Chau / November 10, 2016

YouTube channel TechRax made a DIY iPhone 7 “hack” to bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack that was inexplicably left out on the latest model.

Now, common sense would tell you that drilling a hole into a piece of electronic equipment isn’t going to make anything better. As trolls have been lurking around the Internet for years, this video takes it to a whole new level. Fortunately, this doesn’t cause any physical harm to people (although Darwin would probably wish otherwise), and the worst that comes out of this is a malfunctioning iPhone and probably a dent in the wallet. It does mean that a bunch of Internet users get to laugh at the ones who tried this themselves.

Published on September 17th, the video has already amassed over 7.8 million views in less than a week, and with 82,000 dislikes on the video, it’s safe to assume that some people ACTUALLY DRILLED A HOLE in their iPhone and expected it to work.

These are the kind of people that make the world dumber. Don’t be that, you can do better.

While many comments on the video are either following along with the joke or just sarcastic, some could be legitimate. The question is, though, if someone were stupid enough to try this, would they admit it to the world? Probably.
