Ed Sheeran’s Live Acoustic Set Is Breathtaking

Over the weekend at Capital FM, the UK’s number 1 hit music station, Ed Sheeran was in the building, and he gave an awesome, exclusive set of live performances. Lucky for us, the series of performances were captured in video form, so you can see the British singer-songwriter do his thing.

His set included a wonderful acoustic performance of ‘Castle on the Hill’ that showcased the England native’s stunning vocals.

Sheeran also included the lovely ‘What Do I Know’ which is a becoming a fan favorite.

He also performed ‘How Would You Feel’ which is a track inspired by his girlfriend, who made a trip back to his hometown all the way from New York, where the two rekindled their romance. He wrote this song for her as she left in a taxi to head back to New York.

In addition to performing songs from his latest album, Sheeran also covered Hailee Steinfeld’s huge hit, ‘Starving’. Performing each layer with his loop pedals, Ed shows us how he adds in each layer starting with percussion, then adding the bass line, the rhythm guitar, the backup vocals and harmonies, then he adds his charming voice.

Sheeran also did the whole one-man band performance with the loop pedals performing his most recent single, ‘Shape of You’, but this time he was accompanied with a special guest. The performance was a surprise collaboration with grime artist Stormzy, giving us a refreshing remix.

What a treat from Ed Sheeran, the man of many talents!
