Our First Look at Gal Gadot’s Costume in “Wonder Woman 2”!
Wonder Woman 2 won’t arrive in theaters until 2019 but we’re starting to see the first big peeks at production. Now, Gal Gadot has released an official image revealing her new costume—and it’s very shiny.

The updated costume is almost identical to her original outfit in Wonder Woman, but it looks like she has polished her armor to a fine sheen. The bright colors are fitting for the sequel, set in 1984—the decade of MTV—rather than the somber colors fit for the grim battlefields of 1917. One astute observer also noted claw marks on Wonder Woman’s chest, which might confirm that the Amazon Princess is facing off against Cheetah.
The first Wonder Woman arrived in theaters like Zeus’ thunderbolt—or, more appropriately, Cupid’s arrow. The first film was a massive success that hauled in $821 million at the box office. It made history as the first successful film helmed by a female superhero and directed by a woman, Patty Jenkins. Given the film’s critical and financial triumph, there are high hopes for the sequel, now called Wonder Woman 1984.
Wonder Woman 1984, directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal, is scheduled for release in theaters on November 1, 2019.
