Here’s What You Need To Know About Super Bowl LI
First of all, it’s Superbowl 51: L = 50 and I = 1. Glad we got that out of the way. The game takes place on Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at 6:30PM EST. The game’s taking place in Houston, Texas at NRG Stadium.
Here are the biggest headlines heading into the big game.
Redemption for Tom Brady
If you don’t know, Brady was suspended for 4 games after the ‘deflategate’ controversy where he was said to be deflating footballs during the AFC Championship game in 2015. That’s now a thing of the past and he has a chance to make history. If he and that New England patriots win, this will give Brady his 5th Super Bowl ring – the most by a quarterback in NFL history.

This year’s main attraction will feature the stunning vocals of Lady Gaga. She’ll be joined by country superstar Luke Bryan.
Being the biggest night in all of professional sports, brands shell out millions of dollars to get their products seen during the game. Kraft Heinz Co. apparently felt differently this year and instead of getting a commercial on air, they decided to give all their salaried employees the day off on Monday instead. Not a bad choice considering the news gave them free publicity, and instead of paying upwards of $5.5 million for a 30-second commercial, everyone will come back Tuesday with high spirits.
But let’s be real, the ads is where the real entertainment comes in – and this year the Super Bowl will feature the first live Super Bowl ad. This one will be brought to you by Snickers and will feature Adam Driver (Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens), stunt horses, and a ‘showdown.’
No matter what happens tonight, you bet there will be plenty to talk about Monday morning!
