Japanese Grandmas Rock This Bruno Mars Dance Routine

Shelby Chau / November 30, 2016

In this awesome 2 minute video, these dancing Japanese grandmas show us why you should never judge a book by its cover. These three Japanese elderly women who just love to dance absolutely rock this dance routine to Bruno Mars’ new hit song, 24K Magic.

Comprised of 61 year old, Tori, 59 year old, Tachiflower, and 56 year old Mash, the ‘Bamboo Shoot’ dance group can dance better than most people.

They start off in traditional Japanese clothing and just pose during the intro of the song. I have to admit, the first time I saw this, I thought it’d be a funny video, but once the beat drops, they bust out all the hip hop moves. They dance with a lot of swag and absolutely slay this dance routine.

Their rhythm is on point and their coordination together just makes you wish you might be able to do the same when you hit your 60s. They’ve got a great hip hop bounce and step to their routine, and makes you want to just get up on your feet.

This isn’t their first gig either. They’ve been dancing for a while, and do TV commercials, and other events around Japan. The video was produced by their management company, Ostance.

Hands down, the coolest grandmas ever!
