War for the Planet of the Apes Trailer Looks Epic

Steve Porter / March 30, 2017

In War for the Planet of the Apes, Caesar and his species of apes are faced with a war against the humans, and in both trailers, we hear Caesar repeat that he did not start the war. Suffering tremendous losses, Caesar, the leader of the apes, is torn between his logic and reason, and his darker thoughts, as he looks to avenge his species. Everything comes down to a key encounter between Caesar and the ruthless Colonel that will determine the fate of both species and the fate of the planet.

The trailer for this film is dark, intense and filled with great action scenes as well as strong emotional moments that portray both sides of war and all the emotions that stem from its tension.

This trailer does a good job building up excitement and anticipation for the movie release and the visual effects are certainly incredible. We certainly can’t wait for it to hit theaters on July 14, 2017.

The first trailer came out last year in December:

War for the Planet of the Apes is a culmination of the trilogy, which is the most recent reboot of the Planet of the Apes series. The first chapter was Rise of the Planet of the Apes, debuting in 2011, followed by Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in 2014.

This franchise has received several accolades for its stunning visual effects bringing these apes to life. Not to be outdone, Andy Serkis’ performance in the films have praised by critics. Matt Reeves returns as the director for this third chapter in the franchise.
